Matt Hardy Sends A Message To Jim Cornette – “Who Says That, Who Thinks Like That”

Matt Hardy Sends A Message To Jim Cornette -

Matt Hardy has sent a message to Jim Cornette following their recent Twitter feud.

Hardy, who’s currently signed with All Elite Wrestling, recently found himself engaged in a war of words with promotor and manager turned podcaster, Cornette. In recent years the personality has become known for his controversial statements, and responded to Hardy’s comments, calling Cornette’s fans “the toxic Cornette cult”.

Cornette said in his response:

Even if you have to abandon your principles and verbally fellate these childish cretins for your check, leave my fans alone.

On a recent episode of his podcast “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy”, Hardy expressed his disdain for Cornette’s comments regarding the Stadium Stampede match, in which he was involved.

Hardy stated:

Jim Cornette had the audacity to say because Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho were involved in the Stadium Stampede match, I can no longer be their friend. Interesting, I can no longer be their friend because they’re in a wrestling match. I’m their friend and I like them as human beings and I thought they both had potential and I wanted to see them excel and do well in pro wrestling, but now because they’re doing a pro wrestling match that isn’t my cup of tea, I can no longer be friends with them. Is this real life? Who says that? Who thinks like that?

What Has Matt Hardy Done In AEW Recently?

Matt Hardy has been with AEW since 2020, making his debut on the March 18th episode of Dynamite. During the September 2020 All Out event, Hardy suffered a nasty head injury as he and opponent Sammy Guevara fell from the top of a scissor lift, after Guevara delivered a spear to Hardy who was standing on the edge of the lift. Hardy’s head made a horrific collision with the concrete as the pair overshot the move and mostly missed the tables below.

Hardy was side-lined with this injury and didn’t make a return to the ring until November 2020 where he once again took on Guevara in a Elite Deletion match. Hardy last competed on July 5th at Rampage, where he teamed with Jeff Jarret in a losing effort against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
