Leatherface Makes His AEW Debut In Insane Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch

Whether it was in a positive or negative light, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch between Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy was the highlight of the night for AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.

Before the battle, Double J teased an appearance from Leatherface and the fans sure got one, but it didn’t happen to in the Last Outlaw’s favor as the chainsaw-wielding psychopath chased away Karen Jarrett from any further chicanary. Despite that, Jarrett won the match against Hardy greatly due to the assistance of Santam Singh who delivered a massive chokeslam to Hardy.

The appearance from Leatherface left fans scratching their heads as to who may have been the man behind the mask and a new report from Fightful Select has the answer. Leatherface was portrayed by Dean Alexander, a talent who has been working with AEW for the better part of two-and-a-half years, first appearing on AEW Dark back in March of 2021.

How Much Did The Leatherface Tie-In Make For AEW Fight For The Fallen?

Before the week started, Tony Khan announced that this week of AEW television would be designated as “Fight For The Fallen” as Khan wanted to make and effort to help all those suffering from the tragic Maui wildfires. The AEW President announced that all proceeds from the shows would go to the Maui Food Bank and that includes what the company would make from the sponsorship deal with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game. According to the Wrestling Observer, that sponsorship deal earned AEW $100,000 – all of which is going towards Maui.
