Nick Wayne Offered AEW Contract

Sixteen-year-old independent wrestler Nick Wayne was given the opportunity of a lifetime after being presented with an AEW contract at a recent show.

At the Defy Year V show, young indy star Nick Wayne wrestled Christopher Daniels for Daniels’ Interim Defy World Championship. Unfortunately for Wayne, the wily veteran got the better of him with The Fallen Angel and AEW’s Head Of Talent Relations retaining his belt.

However, a bigger prize was to come for Wayne as former TNT Champion Darby Allin made his way to the ring to talk to the youngster. Allin presented Wayne with an AEW contract and with little hesitation, Wayne seemingly sealed the deal to become All Elite as he commented “Yes! F*ck yes!” to the delight of the fans in attendance.

This latest signing may have one eye for the future for Tony Khan with his other recent signee Keith Lee making a more immediate impact in the company, already qualifying for the Face Of The Revolution ladder match to take place at Revolution.

Nick Wayne made his in-ring debut at just 12 years old back in 2018 before becoming a regular for Defy and more recently GCW. Wayne is a third-generation wrestler, being the son of the man who also trained him Buddy Wayne and the grandson of Moondog Moretti who was a mainstay of Pacific Northwest Wrestling in the eighties.
