Jim Cornette Blasts WWE Star For Being “Totally Fake”

Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette does not buy what one relatively new WWE star is selling.

On the latest episode of “The Jim Cornette Experience,” the well-known heel wrestling manager doesn’t believe in a new heel on the WWE main roster in Grayson Waller. Waller had a memorable in-ring moment at WWE Money In The Bank when John Cena made a surprise appearance in London during the middle of the event and Waller decided to do the same. He disparaged the United Kingdom, its fans and the legacy of Cena. What that got Waller was an Attitude Adjustment in front of the raucous crowd at the O2 Arena.

Jim Cornette: “It’s Totally Fake”

Despite being a name that has curated a buzz for himself in NXT and early in his SmackDown tenure, Cornette expressed how he wasn’t feeling the “effect” from Grayson Waller. Cornette cites insincerity and a distinct difference in star power as to why the segment didn’t work for him.

“He’s playing a heel. Either they’re telling him to do this, or this is the kind of stuff he wants to do, but it’s totally fake. It’s obvious that he’s trying to be a heel on purpose because Grayson Waller would not talk to John Cena like he was a jobber. It’s see-through that he’s getting ‘heat’ on purpose when he offers to help Cena by making him go viral and save his career. It works if two guys are on the same level or if John was the main event guy from 15 years ago and this is the main event guy now, or if it’s the manager being a smartass. It’s a nobody here telling a movie star off.”
