Jade Cargill Makes First WWE Appearance During Fastlane

Jade Cargill

At Fastlane, Jade Cargill made her first appearance on WWE TV.

The former AEW star was shown arriving backstage at the arena on the kickoff show. There, she was surrounded by cameras as she met with Triple H. The pair shook hands and walked off together as the announcers hyped up her “off the charts” superstar energy.

The footage was shown again during the main show, as WWE continues to present its latest signing as a huge deal for the company.

At the post-show press conference, The Game spoke of his high hopes for Jade Cargill and gave his thoughts on when her debut match in a WWE ring is likely to happen.

When did Jade Cargill sign with WWE?

Jade Cargill was a mainstay of AEW TV ever since her debut in 2021 when she teamed up with basketball legend Shaq to defeat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet that March.

The match marked the beginning of an astonishing winning streak that included the star becoming the inaugural TBS Champion on the January 5th, 2022 edition of Dynamite. Cargill went on to defend the title against the likes of Julia Hart, Willow Nightengale, and Taya Valkyrie.

The end of both her reign and undefeated streak came at the hands of Kris Statlander, who returned from injury at Double or Nothing in May 2023 to answer Cargill’s open challenge and capture the gold.

After her loss, Cargill disappeared from AEW TV for several months before returning to confront Statlander on the September 9th edition of Collision. The following week on Rampage, the pair finally had their rematch with Statlander once again coming out on top. After the match, the pair hugged to close the show and Cargill’s AEW career.

On September 26th, ESPN broke the news that Jade Cargill had signed a multi-year deal with WWE, with Triple H later praising the star as a “standout performer” and “industry renowned talent.”

It has since been reported that the star will be assigned to the main roster rather than NXT, with Raw being her likely destination.
