Matt Riddle Out Of Action Until 2023

Matt Riddle stretchered out of Monday Night Raw.

On the December 5th episode of Monday Night Raw, Matt Riddle was due to team with Elias to take on The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. However, following a brutal attack before the match, Elias was unable to compete.

This led Riddle to join forces with Kevin Owens who has been having his own issues with The Bloodline in recent weeks.

Matt Riddle Out For Six Weeks

Despite their best efforts Riddle and Owens were defeated by The Usos, but the real story took place after the bell. Solo Sikoa entered the ring and took out his frustrations on Riddle. Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike to his rival before hitting a Hip Attack into the corner with the aid of a steel chair.

After the savage assault Riddle left the arena on a stretcher.

On the December 9th edition of SmackDown, Michael Cole offered an update on Matt Riddle’s condition and noted that he will be out of the ring for six weeks. In response to the news on social media, Solo Sikoa simply wrote “bodied.”

On SmackDown The Usos put their titles on the line once again, this time against Sheamus and Butch. The Irish star had originally been scheduled to team with Drew McIntyre but the Scottish Warrior was pulled from the match as he was “medically disqualified” from competing. It has since been reported that McIntyre is out with a ruptured eardrum.

In McIntyre’s absence The Usos picked up the win to keep their record-breaking championship reign going. Shortly after the match it was announced that Roman Reigns will be retuning to the blue brand for the first time since before Survivor Series on December 16th.

Matt Riddle’s original tag team partner Randy Orton remains out of action after undergoing spinal fusion surgery. Although there has been concern that his career could be over, his father has claimed that he will be back in the ring once he’s recovered.
