Cody Rhodes Next Opponent Revealed At WWE Live Event?

Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw

Cody Rhodes next opponent could possibly have been revealed at a recent WWE Live Event.

WWE has announced that ‘The American Nightmare’ will open this Monday’s edition of Raw with microphone in hand and it is possible he could be set to address events that took place this weekend in Palm Desert, California.

Rhodes pulled double duty at the Live Event, first appearing in an MVP Lounge segment alongside MVP and Omos before battling NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio in a non-title street fight later in the night.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Rhodes would emerge victorious from that outing despite interference from the man who could very well be his next opponent, ‘The Nigerian Giant’ Omos.

Free agent Omos has been absent from WWE television since an unsuccessful attempt to win the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam on August 5th at Ford Field in Detroit.

Rhodes is not currently scheduled for a bout at October’s Premium Live Event Fastlane, so a bout with the huge competitor is a possibility although WWE may hold off for a big attraction match when the company travels back to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 4th.

When Did Cody Rhodes Last Appear At A WWE Premium Live Event?

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes appeared at the most recent WWE Premium Live Event, Payback, from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 2nd.

The former ‘Stardust’ featured on popular interview segment ‘The Grayson Waller Effect’. Heading into the show, the Australian star promised an “all-time scoop” and he did his best to deliver just that by announcing that he had pulled some political strings backstage in order to bring ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso to the Raw brand.

Rhodes’ last in-ring action at a Premium Live Event came at SummerSlam, where he defeated ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar.

Despite this, Cody Rhodes is again preparing to finish the story with Roman Reigns.
