Tony Khan Working “Well Past” 80 Hours A Week To Run AEW

Tony Khan Working

Tony Khan, the owner of AEW, has opened up about his demanding work schedule and the challenges he faces in managing his various business ventures.

With the rapid growth of AEW and the recent launch of AEW Collision, Tony Khan’s workload has reached new heights. In an interview with Business Insider, Khan discussed his current schedule, work ethic, and the perception that he has to live up to his father’s work ethic.

Khan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work on projects he is passionate about, acknowledging that his father’s work ethic has had a significant influence on him. He stated:

No one works harder than my dad, and I’m honestly very lucky because he’s the hardest-working person I’ve ever seen, and here I am, I get to work on the stuff I love. I’ve worked hard to get to a position where I can work on things I love all the time.

However, Khan admitted that his schedule has become even more demanding with the addition of Collision. He revealed that he now surpasses the previous benchmark of 80 hours a week, stating:

80 hours is nothing. That was before ‘Collision.’ Before that, 80 hours was a good week. I’m way past that now.

Despite the challenges, Tony Khan takes pride in his commitment to AEW. He highlighted the fact that he has never missed an AEW show, even surpassing a referee who had previously held that record along with Khan. Khan emphasised the magnitude of AEW’s programming, with over 206 episodes of Dynamite alone, not including Rampage, Collision and the numerous pay-per-view events.

Reflecting on his rigorous schedule, Khan acknowledged the demanding nature of his role but expressed a sense of dedication and determination. He remarked:

But what else am I going to do?

Khan also commented on the WWE and UFC merger in the same interview.
