The Undertaker Pays Special Tribute To Shawn Michaels

The Undertaker & Shawn Michaels

The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels couldn’t have been more different as performers, but they both achieved greatness inside the squared circle.

While The Undertaker was ridiculously dedicated to his character, and for the most part wrestled a ‘big man’ style, Michaels loved to blur the lines between reality and fiction, wrestled a high-risk fast pace (compared to others during his first run), and became the WWF’s wild child during the 1990s. However, despite their differences, the pair always created magic in the ring.

From their meeting in the first-ever Hell In A Cell match in 1997, to their show-stealing outings at WrestleMania 25 and 26. Whenever ‘Taker and HBK stepped in the ring, greatness was almost guaranteed. Something not lost on either man.

On June 18th, Shawn Michaels celebrated the 35th anniversary of his WWE debut. On that occasion, he teamed with Marty Jannetty, to defeat Iron Mike Sharpe & The Intruder on Superstars of Wrestling. With the goodwill in full swing on social media, The Undertaker got in the act, commenting that Michaels was one of the greatest ever.

Throughout my career, if I had to pick one person to share the ring with, without hesitation it would be @ShawnMichaels! He is one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots! Congrats on 35 years with @WWE, you have earned all the accolades bestowed upon you!

The Undertaker Full Of Praise For Roman Reigns

Speaking during a recent interview, The Deadman also took a moment to praise another of his former opponents Roman Reigns. The veteran claimed that the Tribal Chief is currently in the middle of one of the greatest runs ever, commenting that he also deserves to be in the conversation of professional wrestling’s all-time greats.
