Backstage Row Involving Seth Rollins And Others Made Worse By Last Second Creative Changes

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor brawl on WWE Raw

A huge six-man tag team match involving Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Judgment Day closed WWE Raw but things didn’t go quite to plan.

Fans were quick to notice some unusually clunky moments and the match occasionally threatened to break down entirely. However, the six men involved pulled through and sent the crowd home happy.

Despite this, it’s been reported that once backstage a row broke out between those involved due to frustration with how everything had unfolded. It was noted that a source placed the blame firmly at the feet of one individual in particular but stopped short of naming them to keep things behind closed doors.

In a follow-up, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now given more of an insight into what actually happened and why. Johnson noted that the argument stemmed from a “difference of opinion,” adding that things had been made worse by a number of very late changes.

In fact, changes were still being made while Superstars were making their entrances, and when things didn’t go smoothly in the ring, this brought the issues to the fore. One source stated that the changes caused a “domino effect” and played into the problems later in the match. However, it’s believed that the issues aren’t anything serious.

The source added that with the company being so hot right now, everyone was keen to keep moving forward and playing their role well, and this led to the butting of heads backstage.

Seth Rollins Dominates WWE Raw

Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins has been ever-present on WWE Raw, appearing in multiple segments as well as a string of impressive matches.

On the July 10th episode, Rollins interrupted the Judgment Day as they opened the show, before coming to the aid of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as they brawled with the group later in the show. This set up the six-man tag team match in the main event, which saw the trio take on Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio.
