The Undertaker Advocates For AEW Star To Go Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

The Undertaker believes that a wrestling veteran currently signed to AEW is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction.

Wrestling in WCW, WWE, TNA and AEW, Dustin Rhodes is one of the most experienced names in wrestling today. With a career spanning over 35 years, the man known as Goldust in WWE has seen multiple names advocate for a Hall of Fame induction, as brother Cody Rhodes has also gone on record for wanting The Natural’s contributions to wrestling to be recognised.

Speaking on Six Feet Under, Undertaker believes that Dustin Rhodes going into the Hall of Fame will be a when and not an if:

“Absolutely. Yeah, 100%. This is a semantics thing at this point,” Taker stated. “I would imagine at some point down the road. Roads. Get that? See, I how did that?”

WWE is known for being reluctant to acknowledge wrestlers who are performing for rival promotions, instead waiting for them to retire or return before announcing a Hall of Fame induction. Taker acknowledged that it is an issue at the moment, but believes that there will be a point when this won’t be a factor:

“I think his resume is Hall of Fame worthy. Obviously, we know the one stickler [AEW] right now,” Taker continued. “I think at some point that goes away, and then I couldn’t see too much time probably going by that he wouldn’t be inducted.”

During another episode of Six Feet Under, The Undertaker recalled a time when he was punished by Vince McMahon while reigning as the top champion.

Did The Undertaker Ever Wrestle Goldust?

Undertaker and Goldust feuded in 1996 over the course of multiple In Your House events. First competing at In Your House: Rage in the Cage, The Bizarre One and The Deadman faced off again in Casket matches at In Your House: Beware of the Dog 1 and 2, with Goldust being victorious on both occasions. Following a no-contest at In Your House: International Incident, the rivalry would come to an end at In Your House: Mind Games, where Taker would defeat Goldust in a Final Curtain match.
