Dana White, the president of UFC, has expressed his happiness regarding CM Punk‘s return to WWE.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Dana White praised CM Punk as one of the easiest individuals he has ever worked with. White revealed that he sent a congratulatory text to Punk following his appearance at Survivor Series in Chicago. He described the experience as amazing and expressed his support for Punk’s decision.

I texted him that night after he walked out in Chicago. It was amazing. I texted and congratulated him, it was incredible.

White also spoke highly of his relationship with Punk, stating that he has had nothing but a great rapport with him since they first met.

I’ve had nothing but a great relationship with him since the day we met. He’s a super nice guy. He’s one of the easiest people I’ve ever dealt with. Do I give my blessing? 100 percent. I love the guy.

Despite Punk’s short and unsuccessful stint in UFC, White acknowledged the toughness of his fights and highlighted the respect he garnered from his training camp.

Look, those were tough fights. You know what else is important? Everybody that he trained with and everybody around him in his camp respected him. That spoke volumes.
