Backstage Update On Bryan Danielson’s Involvement In AEW Creative

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson may be injured, but he will definitely have something to keep him busy as he heals up.

“The American Dragon” suffered a fractured arm during his AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 match against Kazuchika Okada and while the initial diagnosis was expected to have a six-to-eight week recovery time, an x-ray makes it appear Danielson will be out longer than that.

Fear not, fans. A new report from Fightful Select states that Danielson has been heavily involved with the creative side of AEW and they confirm a previous report that Danielson has been lauded for his efforts. While the “Championship Friday” edition of “AEW Rampage” was a Tony Khan creation, Danielson has been deep in the creative woods with the first few weeks of “AEW Collision.”

The Creative Approach Of Bryan Danielson

One big reason why Bryan Danielson has been lauded for his work is the very hands-on approach he has with talent and what they are seeking creatively. Danielson has seemingly been an excellent go-between for getting the talent’s vision communicated appropriately to the creative team.

All that being said, Danielson’s injury obviously causes a few creative setbacks for the company. He was slated to compete a little more following Forbidden Door and was going to be involved with Blood & Guts which is scheduled for July.

Despite being injured, Danielson was an active and engaging participate during the post-Forbidden Door media scrum as he shared his thoughts on Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay, Orange Cassidy’s upside and more.
