The Rock Approached To Run For President By Multiple Parties; Is The Great One Interested?

Would you vote for The Rock if given the opportunity?

Having conquered the wrestling world, Hollywood and having multiple successful side projects, many have been captivated by The Great One and believe that he should have a seat in The White House. So much so that in 2021 a poll was taken where 46% of Americans would support the former World Champion’s bid to become the President of the United States.

While appearing on the What Now? With Trevor Noah podcast, Dwayne Johnson was asked about the poll and if he would actually consider it. The Hollywood star stated that multiple parties asked him if he had any interest in running in the future:

“That was an interesting poll that happened and I was really moved by that. I was really blown away and I was really honored. I’ll share this little bit with you: at the end of the year in 2022, I got a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run, and if I could run.”

For anyone waiting for an official announcement, it appears that this won’t be the case, as The Rock stated that he has no intention or desire to go down the political path:

“It was a big deal, and it came out of the blue. It was one after the other, and they brought up that poll, and they also brought up their own deep-dive research that would prove that should I ever go down that road [I’d be a real contender]. It was all very surreal because that’s never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. As a matter of fact, there’s a lot about politics that I hate.”

Despite having no interest in running for President right now, The Hollywood star is seen campaigning for the role in 2032 as part of the biographical drama series Young Rock.

The Rock Prepares To Return To Hollywood

Now known more for being on the big screen than in the ring, the former WWE Champion has seen future TV and movie releases placed on permanent hiatus due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. However, the strike was suspended on November 9th and could come to a conclusion very shortly.

Along with The Rock’s surprise return to SmackDown on September 15th, John Cena also made multiple appearances on SmackDown from September to November. With the SAG-AFTRA strike nearing its end, John Cena also looks to have finished his time in WWE for the foreseeable future.

In a new interview, The Rock revealed how his surprise WWE return on September 15th was orchestrated.
