Chris Jericho Advised To End His In-Ring Career By AEW Talent

Chris Jericho has been advised to think about winding his career down for his own safety.

While Jericho was the top performer in the early days of AEW, Don Callis believes that Le Champion is now a shell of his former self. The Invisible Hand was extra smug while appearing on Busted Open Radio following the events that took place on the October 10th edition of AEW Dynamite.

In typical Callis style, Jericho was delivered a compliment before being hit with the knockout blow:

“One of the chapters in the upcoming management book, Management Secrets of Don Callis and The Don Callis Family is called, ‘See everything, feel nothing.’ I haven’t had those emotions in my life, so I don’t know what they are. I can see when I watch people, whether they’re grieving or at a funeral or at a funeral or something like that, I can see that that’s what you’re supposed to do. But I don’t feel it.

If I feel anything, I feel bad for Ted Irvine, Chris’ dad. He’s a great guy, as we all know. Former NHL hockey player. Chris’ dad always treated me kindly, even though others said he’s a psychopath, there’s something wrong with him. Ted Irvine was always good to me. So I feel bad, but I guess maybe I’m doing for Chris Jericho what Ted Irvine wasn’t able to do. Tell him, ‘It’s time, it’s over. Time to stop. You’ve had a great run. You’re maybe the greatest of all time, but end it now, and allow the ending to be the beginning for the Don Callis Family and Will Hobbs,”

What Happened To Chris Jericho On Dynamite?

Following the surprise attack by Powerhouse Hobbs on Jericho during the October 4th episode, Jericho was out for retribution. However, things would not play out the way that Jericho intended on Title Tuesday as he was effectively squashed by the former TNT Champion, much to the delight of Don Callis at ringside.

One of the biggest matches of Jericho’s 30-year-plus career saw him face off against Will Ospreay inside Wembley Stadium. Reflecting on the rivalry, Chris Jericho described his great relationship with The Ariel Assassin.

H/t to Fightful.
