Jeff Hardy Written Off TV, Set Be Away From AEW “For A While”

Jeff Hardy

On the June 21st episode of AEW, Jeff Hardy teamed with his brother Matt to take on The Gunns.

The biggest story of the match was the alliance between The Gunns and Bullet Club Gold – Jay White and Juice Robinson. The former New Japan stars helped Austin and Colten grab the win, and the quartet attacked The Hardys after the match. This brought out Ricky Starks, FTR, and then CM Punk to a monster ovation who laid down a challenge for Collision on June 24th.

However, it seems this will be the last time fans will see Jeff Hardy on television for a little while.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that Jeff is unable to enter Canada due to his previous legal problems and has been written off TV as a result. AEW has eight-straight dates in Canada and won’t be back in the United States until July 19th when the company heads to the TD Garden in Boston.

Although he can’t be present in person, there’s a possibility that Hardy will feature in pre-taped segments.

Jeff Hardy Not Taking Independent Dates

Since joining AEW, Jeff Hardy has wrestled a number of times on the independent circuit, but he wrestled solely for AEW since returning to action in April. According to Matt Hardy, this is set to continue with the former WWE Champion putting all of his focus on being All Elite rather than taking as many bookings as his schedule will allow.
