Jey Uso Calls Out AEW Tag Team; Lays Down The Challenge For A Dream Match In WWE

Jey Uso has called out other tag teams not in WWE, stating that if they want to fight it will be on home soil.

Following the creation of AEW in 2019, the promotion put more of an emphasis on tag team wrestling than WWE did at the time, which was one of the reasons why former Usos rivals FTR [FKA The Revival] made the jump when their contracts expired. With AEW teams such as The Acclaimed and The Lucha Bros revitalising the division, fans have fantasy-booked dream matches between teams from the rival promotions. Unsurprisingly, The Usos are frequently the first choice for team WWE.

Uso addressed his place in tag team history while speaking with The Ringer. Hinting that an eventual reunion with brother Jimmy would take place in the future, the longest-reigning Tag Team Champion turned his attention to teams in other promotions. Uso would describe FTR as “Top tier” and admitted that they have “missed the boat” for a Hardy Boyz match before addressing a potential match with The Young Bucks. Uso would passionately state that if Matt and Nick Jackson want their place at the top of the mountain then they will have to make a visit to the Uso Penitentiary:

“If you all want these dream matches, you all going to have to bring your ass to WWE, dog, to the top tier. You all going to have to come. Where we at ain’t dropping down,” Jey states. “Young Bucks, everybody, like, bring it, dog. Run it. We the ones for a reason, and I mean that. I stand on that, bro. We the best tag team in the world. And if you want to get detailed with it, I’m talking about on the microphone, the way we dress, the way the gear look, the way we carry ourselves, the swag, the ink, everything. The hair, the grills, the earrings, the chain. All that’s real, Uce. All that is real.”

Jey Uso Wants Singles Success

Now separated from brother Jimmy, “Main Event” Jey Uso wants to prove his worth as an individual. With potential accolades available such as winning the Royal Rumble, winning Money in the Bank or aiming for the top championship on Raw, Jey Uso has revealed a surprising goal he wants to achieve first in WWE.
