Does Finn Balor have an interest in facing CM Punk?
With Punk remaining silent since the firing, no concrete details regarding a non-compete clause and no indication of what is next for the former World Champion, all fans can do is be patient and await further updates. Hypothetically, if Punk did make the trip back to WWE, would Finn Balor be interested in the first time ever matchup?
Speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Balor revealed that he doesn’t care who his opponent is, as long as he is paid the right amount:
“I’d be interested in wrestling a broomstick if someone is going to pay me money. Money talks,”
With news of the AEW departure nearly a week old, multiple veterans and Hall of Famers have given their thoughts on the situation and what they think the Second City Saint will do next. Current AEW talent Jeff Jarrett has a different take on the situation, believing that Punk might take a different route and start his own promotion to give him complete creative freedom.
Finn Balor Becomes Grand Slam Champion
Following the victory at Payback where Balor and Priest won the Tag Team Championships, The Judgment Day member has now joined the select few who are Grand Slam Champions in the company as he is a former United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion and the first-ever Universal Champion.
Looking back on his success with the group, Balor will feel that he made the right decision by joining The Judgment Day as there was some initial reluctance from the former Universal Champion.
