This week on SmackDown featured another John Cena appearance, plus IYO SKY defending the WWE Women’s Title against Asuka.

SmackDown took place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale (Phoenix), Arizona with Michael Cole, Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick on commentary.

John Cena started the show with a promo saying he has different roles since coming back to WWE as a referee, host and backstage correspondent, but tonight he wants to wrestle. Cena wants to face The Bloodline with his phenomenal partner AJ Styles. Styles joined Cena in the ring to say he was happy to do it. Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso went to ringside, stood on the apron and backed away rather than fight.

After a break, Cena & Styles were shown asking WWE Official Adam Pearce to make the match happen. Pearce said since it involves The Bloodline, he had to go talk to Paul Heyman about it.

Match #1: LWO – Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar (w/Zelina Vega) defeated The Street Profits – Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins (w/Bobby Lashley) with Rey pinning Dawkins. Lashley slammed Rey on the apron and wanted Dawkins to finish him off, but Rey countered Dawkins with a sunset flip for the pinfall win.

A video package aired about the segment involving The Rock’s return to WWE on Smackdown last week. It said that the segment generated over 153 million social media views. Austin Theory showed up at ringside to complain about it.

There was a video featuring Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn walking in a dark forest. They spoke about how the Women’s Tag Team Titles appear to be cursed and suggested that they were the ones who did it.

Bobby Lashley yelled at The Street Profits in the locker room. Lashley said maybe they should give him their suits back. Lashley said if they can’t pull the trigger then he will find somebody that can. Lashley left while The Street Profits said nothing.

Match #2: IYO SKY (w/Bayley & Dakota Kai) defeated Asuka to retain the WWE Women’s Title. It was a three segment match. Bayley tried to help Sky, so Charlotte Flair (who was ringside watching) punched Bayley and Asuka watched that, which allowed Sky to hit knees to the back. Sky hit her Over The Moonsault off the top rope for the pinfall win.

A backstage scene involving The Bloodline and Adam Pearce revealed there would be a tag team match at Fastlane with a contract signing in the main event. Solo Sikoa told Paul Heyman not to worry about it because, after tonight, there will be nobody left at Fastlane.

Pretty Deadly was featured in a comedy segment with Kit Wilson helping Elton Prince recover from his shoulder injury.

Match #3: Austin Theory & Grayson Waller defeated The Brawling Brutes – Butch & Ridge Holland by pinfall. Theory pinned Holland with the A-Town Down after Waller sent Butch into a ring post and hit a Stunner on Holland.

The main event was a Fastlane tag team match contract signing. Cena signed the contract first. AJ Styles was attacked by The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa. Solo splashed Styles through a table after Solo jumped off a structure that was about ten feet high.

After a break, AJ Styles was shown taken away in an ambulance on a stretcher. Karl Anderson & Michin of The OC were there. Anderson told John Cena he didn’t want Styles involved in The Bloodline’s business.

The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman did a promo in the ring. John Cena ran down to try to fight Jimmy & Solo 2-on-1 but Cena couldn’t do it. Solo hit Cena with two Samoan Spikes while Jimmy hit the Uso Splash twice. Jimmy & Solo each signed the Fastlane contract. The Bloodline stood tall to end the show.
