WarGames Planned For WWE Survivor Series

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn with The Bloodline WWE Survivor Series 2022

WarGames is returning to WWE Survivor Series.

Although WWE is due to make a stop in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 4th, attention is already beginning to turn to Survivor Series. The event has been a permanent fixture on the WWE calendar since 1987 when it became the 2nd established spectacular after WrestleMania. SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble both launched in 1988.

In 2022 the event played host to the first-ever WarGames matches on the main roster, and that trend looks to continue in 2023.

It’s been reported by Fightful Select that WarGames is being planned for the show on November 25th. The report notes that a men’s match is being planned, and it has been “heavily implied” it will feature Judgment Day.

While WarGames is coming back at Survivor Series the same can’t be said for one former World Champion. Despite much speculation around his future and apparent teases on television, it’s been reported that WWE turned down a deal with CM Punk.

What Happened At WWE Survivor Series 2022?

Survivor Series 2022 was headlined by the men’s WarGames match between The Bloodline and Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Butch, Ridge Holland and Drew McIntyre. The Roman Reigns-led faction scored the win after Sami Zayn pledged his loyalty to the group.

Elsewhere, Austin Theory won the United States Title after getting the better of Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley, while Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch won the women’s WarGames match.

The show looks set to be a popular one as WWE Survivor Series 2023 has sold out.
