Bobby Lashley Drops Subtle Hint He Could Relaunch The Hurt Business

Bobby Lashley MVP

Bobby Lashley is back on WWE SmackDown following a subtle hint that The Hurt Business could be resurrected.

The Hurt Business collapsed in early 2021, and since then Bobby Lashley has been out on his own, taking on some of the biggest names that WWE has to offer. However, the star had been missing in action in recent months after failing to advance in the tournament to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion in May.

The All-Mighty made his return to SmackDown on the July 14th edition of the show, and was shown meeting with the Street Profits before leaving in a limo with the tag team stars. This has led to some speculation that The Hurt Business – or at least a version of the group — could be coming back. There have been rumours of a reunion ever since the faction crumbled, with Lashley himself commenting that he wants to bring the group back.

Interestingly, in the days before his return to television Lashley shared a video of himself working out on social media. While this might not be particularly unusual, the song playing over the clip was the theme song for The Hurt Business.

When Was Bobby Lashley In The Hurt Business?

After falling just short of establishing himself as a main event star upon initially returning to WWE in 2018, Bobby Lashley’s fortunes changed in June 2020.

With the end of his poorly received on-screen relationship with Lana – CJ Perry – Lashley joined forces with MVP before the pair eventually recruited Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Over the following months Lashley became WWE Champion and Alexander & Benjamin won the Raw Tag Team Titles.
