“The Street Profits Have More Potential Than Anyone Else In The Company” – Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley has explained why he has affiliated himself with The Street Profits.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were approached by The All Mighty back in July, with Lashley offering the team an opportunity to be taken to the next level, which included fine wine and finer suits.

While appearing on The Bump, Lashley explained why he chose Ford and Dawkins to be a part of this new venture:

“When I looked for somebody that I can work with, these two guys have more potential than anybody else in the company, without a shadow of a doubt,” Lashley said. “They’ve already been tag team champions, but I think that they can hold and have a reign that no one has ever seen before. In order to do that, you have to do whatever it takes to get to that level. There’s hard work, there’s the ‘it’ factor … but there’s something else they need to take into consideration, and that’s doing whatever it takes.”

When asked about the change in attire, Lashley responded that The former tag team champions “needed to look like stars in order to fight like stars.”

Throughout NXT and the main roster, Ford and Dawkins have firmly been babyfaces and frequently received strong reactions from the crowd. Following the alliance with Lashley, this is the first time that the duo have shown a more vicious edge.

Bobby Lashley To Address The Future Of His Partnership With The Street Profits

Following a positive start between The Profits and Lashley, tensions looked to be at a breaking point on September 22nd after Ford and Dawkins were unable to defeat Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar despite an assist from Lashley. After the match, an irate Lashley was furious with the former tag team champions and demanded that they return their suits to him. It is being promoted on the September 29th SmackDown that Lashley will address his outburst on The Grayson Waller Effect.

The alliance has also been called into question by Hall of Famer Booker T, who revealed that he is conflicted about the new partnership between Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.

In a new interview, Bobby Lashley expressed how frustrated he was at being left off of WWE WrestleMania.
