CM Punk Hilariously “Shills” WWE Merchandise On CFFC Commentary

CM Punk in NXT

CM Punk recently had wrestling fans and his fellow MMA commentators in stitches with his hilarious “shilling” of WWE merchandise during a recent appearance for CFFC.

Since his return to World Wrestling Entertainment, Punk’s merchandise sales have gone through the roof. For example, it was reported that Punk’s shocking comeback led to a six-figure merchandise sale on November 25th during Survivor Series: WarGames.

Punk has a history of boosting merchandise sales whenever he joins a wrestling promotion. When he returned to wrestling in 2021 with AEW, he broke merchandise records for both AEW and Pro Wrestling Tees. He shattered the 24-hour record for most t-shirts sold on Pro Wrestling Tees’ website and three days later he set another record by selling the most shirts in the history of the website.

CM Punk promoted his new WWE merch during a CFFC broadcast

Punk has worked with MMA promotion Cage Fury Fighting Championships for some time. Punk signed a contract with CFFC in November 2018, and made his debut as a commentator at CFFC71. He has continued to work at events regularly, and did so during his AEW run and returned to the booth at CFFC128 on December 16th.

During the broadcast, CFFC commentator John Morgan made the introductions. He noticed that Punk was sporting one of his upcoming Beenie hats and quickly mentioned that “CM Punk merchandise is available at WWE.com by the way.”

Not on to miss a beat, Punk retorted with the following.

Listion, guys listen. I just didn’t like the way my hair looked in that post-fight interview, this has nothing to do with me trying to shill these beenies and hats curretnly under production and will be availve on WWEShop.com at the end of the month.

Punk also hilariously referenced his upcoming match with Dominik Mysterio on the show.

Come out to the LA Kia Forum, watch me beat up Dirty Dominik, I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was 8 years old, now he’s legal, I’m gonna destroy him.

Punk returns to the WWE ring for the first time since 2014, when faces Mysterio at the Kia Forum on December 30th.
