Bobby Lashley Would “Love” To Face Batista

Bobby Lashley claims that a match between himself and Batista would do “huge box office numbers.”

Batista hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Triple H back in 2019, but as history has shown, wrestling retirements often mean very little. The likes of Ric Flair, Mick Foley, and Steve Austin have all found their way back to the ring despite being “done.” In the case of Flair and Foley, those returns became routine at various parts of their respective careers.

Interestingly, there are a couple of parallels between Lashley and Batista. Both are typically powerhouse wrestlers and both men have dabbled in mixed martial arts with Lashley enjoying a longer MMA career, taking part in 17 professional fights.

With these similarities in mind, Lashley was asked about going one-on-one with the Hollywood megastar during an appearance on the Perform Podcast.

“I love where Dave is and I never try to drum up any controversy or any kind of friction. Dave is definitely somebody I would love to have a match with. It would be something that would do some huge box office numbers. Dave, since he’s left WWE, his whole entire career has exploded to another level. Of course you want to bring somebody like him back. If we can, I know it would be a great match up. I never say that one person is going to win in a competition like that. I’m always betting on myself, but at the end of the day, the fans would win that,”

Will Batista Come Back To WWE?

Despite the rumours and comments from Lashley, Batista has insisted that he has no desire to wrestle again. The star explained that his loss to Triple H at WrestleMania 35 was a “storybook ending” and something he wouldn’t want to go back and tarnish.
