Drew McIntyre Set To Miss WWE Raw

Drew McIntyre enters with his sword

Drew McIntyre will not make an appearance on the July 31st edition of WWE Raw.

The Scottish Warrior was absent from the July 17th episode of the red brand as he was filming action-comedy movie ‘The Killer’s Game’, which stars WWE veteran Dave Bautista in the lead role.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it appears that he will be missing this week’s show for the same reason, with filming taking place in Budapest, Hungary.

“Also, Drew McIntyre is doing the movie that he was doing two weeks ago. I believe he’s in Budapest, Hungary right now, but if not, he’ll be in Budapest, Hungary tomorrow. So, he’s not gonna be on Raw this week.”

Why did Drew McIntyre take time off after WrestleMania 39?

At WrestleMania 39, McIntyre was invovled in a violent yet highly acclaimed Triple Threat match against Gunther and Sheamus with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.

Following the event, he took an extended absence from WWE during which specualtion was rife that he was unable to come to terms on a new contract with the company and it was a real possibility that he would become a free agent in 2024.

After he returned at Money In The Bank to renew his rivalry with The Ring General, he and Triple H laughed off the rumours that had been flying around, saying instead that McIntyre was dealing with nagging injuries.

However, in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, McIntyre admitted that there was some truth in the reports, but would not confirm what that was.
