Will Ospreay Hints At Further TNA Appearances In 2024

Will Ospreay recently expressed his deep-seated desire to step foot in a TNA ring, citing the promotion’s profound influence on his wrestling journey.

Will Ospreay shared his heartfelt sentiments after his victory over Josh Alexander on the November 16th episode of IMPACT. The wrestler reminisced about the pivotal moment in his youth when he was inspired by a match featuring Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles, which fueled his aspiration to become a professional wrestler.

Listen, if anybody knows the story of Will Ospreay, a 14-year-old Will was channel flicking around Sky and he saw the very first match I ever saw. Christopher Daniels/Samoa Joe/AJ Styles. That match made me want to become a professional wrestler and I wanted to come to IMPACT for a very, very long time,

Despite his initial reluctance to join IMPACT, Ospreay commended the new ownership and the exceptional talent within the promotion for its remarkable revival. He emphasised the pivotal role played by the dedicated staff and roster in revitalising IMPACT Wrestling.

I’m very thankful to everybody for allowing me to come back because I honestly thought IMPACT was done. There was no saving IMPACT Wrestling, but that new ownership came along, and the talent backstage… It should be spoken loud and clear that the staff back there and all the roster are the reason why this place is thriving.

Ospreay expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to return to IMPACT while passionately voicing his longing to wrestle under the TNA Wrestling Banner, particularly when IMPACT Wrestling reverts to its original name, TNA, in January 2024.

I didn’t want to come to IMPACT Wrestling. I wanted to come to TNA Wrestling. Before I rounded this up, before February strikes, you better make sure that as much as I love IMPACT, I need to step foot in a TNA ring.

When Is Will Ospreay’s Next NJPW Match?

As Will Ospreay’s time in NJPW draws to a close, he is set to face Jon Moxley and David Finlay at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18. Prior to this upcoming match, he faced Shota Umino on November 4th in a match that earned five and three-quarter stars from Dave Meltzer.
