A veteran manager’s time with AEW is coming to an end.

After officially leaving WWE in 2014 to pursue a career outside of wrestling, Vickie Guerrero made a handful of guest appearances with the sports entertainment giant before signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2019. While she also served as manager to both Andrade El Idolo and Marina Shafir, the majority of Guerrero’s work in AEW has centered on her partnership with Nyla Rose. Their partnership remains to this day, with Guerrero last accompanying Rose on the February 21st episode of Dark Elevation.

The pairing of Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero was first revealed at Fight for the Fallen in July of 2020. During her introduction to the AEW audience, Guerrero used her famous “Excuse me!” catchphrase repeatedly.

Vickie Guerrero’s AEW Contract Will Not Be Renewed

According to a new report from Fightful Select, however, Guerrero’s time with All Elite Wrestling is coming to an end. The report states that her contract will expire in July of 2023, and that both Guerrero and AEW have specifically agreed not to renew the contract.

The news comes days after Guerrero took to social media to tease that she was beginning a new journey in life, though she did not specify what new opportunities she’ll be pursuing.

“Today a new journey begins…..my life is fulfilled with excitement and new opportunities”

It remains to be seen what Guerrero’s departure will mean for Nyla Rose, who has been absent from Dynamite and Rampage in recent weeks and has most often been seen on Dark and Dark Elevation. Rose’s last television appearance was at AEW Full Gear in November, where Jade Cargill faced her to retain her TBS Championship.
