Jay White Appears On AEW Dynamite

Jay White Slammiversary

Jay White has made a shocking appearance on the February 9th episode of AEW Dynamite!

Even on a night of surprises, it’s fair to say that not many fans would have had Switchblade Jay White on their shock debutant bingo card.

Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta were cutting a promo backstage with Tony Schiavone when they were interrupted by the Young Bucks. The two teams are scheduled to meet on an upcoming episode of Rampage.

The Bucks immediately challenged the pair to a fight there and then before Romero and Trent were jumped from behind by Adam Cole. With Cole and the Bucks putting the boots to their rivals, Jay White appeared and joined in the punishment.

Although White is best known for his work in New Japan Pro Wrestling he has recently been in the United States performing in IMPACT Wrestling. White has been joined by Bullet Club brothers Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Chris Bey while stateside.

Although Jay White’s name has been dropped on AEW television before, it was the first time that the man himself as appeared.

White wasn’t the only surprise on Dynamite as just minutes after his shock appearance, Keith Lee made his own unscheduled debut. Lee made his debut taking on Isiah Kassidy of Private Party in a qualifying match for the Face of the Revolution ladder match at Revolution on March 6th.

Despite a spirited effort from Kassidy, Lee simply had too much power for his high-flying opponent.

The former WWE star entered to a monster ovation and made his intentions known within seconds launching Kassidy across the ring. Not that it was quite one way traffic, as Kassidy fought back using his superior speed but Lee’s power was simply too much.

He felled Kassidy with a huge powerslam to advance to the Face of the Revolution Ladder match. After the match, Lee put an exclamation on his win, taking out Private Party as they looked for revenge.
