Keith Lee Makes AEW Debut On Dynamite

Keith Lee has made his long-awaited AEW debut on Dynamite defeating Isiah Kassidy!

From the moment that AEW President Tony Khan announced a new entrant through the ‘Forbidden Door’ on February 4th speculation had been running wild. But speculate no more because Keith Lee has arrived in AEW.

The former WWE star entered to a monster ovation and made his intentions known within seconds launching Kassidy across the ring. Not that it was quite one way traffic, as Kassidy fought back using his superior speed but Lee’s power was simply too much.

He felled Kassidy with a huge powerslam to advance to the Face of the Revolution Ladder match. After the match, Lee put an exclamation on his win, taking out Private Party as they looked for revenge.

Keith Lee hadn’t wrestled since defeating Cedric Alexander on the October 25th 2021 episode of Monday Night Raw. Despite only recently being given a new gimmick and renamed Keith “Bearcat” Lee, the star was released on November 4th.

Lee initially signed with WWE back in 2018, appearing in NXT until the summer of 2020. During his time on what was still the black and gold brand, the star won the NXT and North American Championships.

Speaking ahead of the show, Tony Khan promised that the new signing would be “huge” for the company, setting up a number of exciting match-ups for the future.
