False WWE Report Causing “Chuckles” Backstage

Triple H laughing

In 2024 WWE heads to Perth, Australia for Elimination Chamber.

Earlier this year, the company announced it was returning to Australia for the first time since Super Show-Down in 2018. The PLE will take place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, Australia on February 24th, 2024.

The historic event caused quite a buzz as it is the first Premier Live Event to be held in the county. However, there are contradicting reports about ticket sales for the show.

Tickets for the show went on sale on October 29th and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the promotion was offering discounts on tickets for the event.

WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth is at 7,805 tickets sold. It’s a stadium show, which is why they’re already discounting.

How many tickets has WWE Elimination Chamber sold?

In response to this report, WrestleTix stated ticket sales far exceed the reported number. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also looked into it and revealed that the report was met with laughter from those at WWE HQ.

In his post, Sapp also disclosed that the PLE has sold more than 30’000. This number will undoubtedly rise with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio heading down under to do multiple media appearances to promote the show.

I followed up on this, and it caught some chuckles at WWE HQ. But I got some more info.

According to internal live event ticketing reports that some staff has access to, the show is already north of 30K tickets sold. They’re sending Rhea Ripley and Dom to do media in Perth this week too.

That would put it as one of their biggest shows as far as tickets outside of WrestleMania

In 2024, the company also heads to the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu, in Lyon area, France for the BackLash PLE and the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany for the Bash in Berlin.

In a new update, a more accurate figure has been published regarding WWE Elimination Chamber ticket sales.
