Seth Rollins Vs Shinsuke Nakamura Confirmed

Shinsuke Nakamura & Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins will be back in action at WWE Payback.

Shinsuke Nakamura has been a man on a mission since deciding to take matters into his own hands on the August 7th episode of Raw. Nakamura attacked Seth Rollins as the show went off the air, and followed that up by getting under the World Champion’s skin a week later whispering something in his ear during an in-ring segment.

During a promo package on the August 21st episode of the red brand, Nakamura revealed that he told Rollins he knew about his back injury, something the champion later confirmed.

Rollins was interviewed backstage and admitted he’s got “two fractures in his lumbar spine” and has been living with the problem for over four years. He added that the injury is getting worse and he’s unsure how much longer he can continue at the highest level.

On the show, it was also announced that Rollins and Nakamura will meet at Payback with the World Heavyweight Title on the line.

Payback is scheduled to take place on September 2nd and will come live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At present two other matches have been confirmed, with Rhea Ripley defending the Women’s World Title against Raquel Rodriguez, while Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will meet in a Cage Match.

Is Seth Rollins Really Injured?

Seth Rollins’ injury problems are very real and not just for storyline purposes. During a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast, the World Heavyweight Champion commented on his physical condition, stating he probably needs surgery.

Following the successful defence, Rollins has now hit a major milestone.
