Jade Cargill To Go Straight To WWE Raw or SmackDown

Jade Cargill will not make her WWE debut in NXT.

In a story that took many by surprise, Cargill appears to be on the brink of leaving AEW. While WWE’s interest in the star has never been a secret, Cargill only recently returned to AEW television having repeatedly talked up her experience of working for the company.

However, according to numerous reports, it appears that WWE could be her next destination.

There have been suggestions that Cargill would appear in NXT after signing with WWE, but those claims appear to be wide of the mark. Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that those in WWE feel the star will debut on the main roster.

“Those in WWE believed she was coming and that it would be on the main roster rather than developmental, but I could see that going either way. Another person in WWE described it to us as that her name was being talked about a lot, but the deal was not completed at press time.

The money it would take to get her would have been far more than they pay those in developmental, but while she has a star look and is a great athlete, her skill set and experience level is not at WWE main roster woman levels. But good workers are there to make the less experienced and more marketable workers look better than they are.

One person in WWE described this as coming out of the blue, but that they do expect her to be coming in.”

Jade Cargill To Become A Free Agent Within Days

The comments from Meltzer come after a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that Jade Cargill’s AEW deal expires within days.

Johnson claimed that Cargill’s AEW deal is set to expire as soon as this week, and while there were talks of an extension, no agreement was reached.

When her contract expires, Cargill will be free to sign elsewhere and is not currently scheduled to make further appearances for AEW.
