What Are WWE Planning For December 25th Raw?

WWE Raw Happy Holidays Christmas episode

WWE Superstars will have a chance to be home for the holidays as no television will be taped on December 25th.

The holiday season is here, and December 25th falls on a Monday night in 2023. Naturally, fans have begun to wonder what the sports entertainment giant has in store for its programming on Christmas Day. In recent years, the company has taken strides to allow talent time with family and friends during the holiday season, and that trend is set to continue.

According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, SmackDown will be holding a double taping on December 15th, but Monday Night Raw will not have a Christmas Day episode taped in advance and it is expected that the company will air a clip show instead. Meltzer writes:

“The 12/15 Smackdown tapings in Green Bay will be for two episodes since there is no 12/22 taping. It appears the 12/25 Raw will be a best-of show since there is no show being taped but WWE hasn’t publicly confirmed it but one executive there said that to the best of his knowledge it was accurate.”

Vince McMahon Was In Attendance At The WWE Holiday Party

According to a recent report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Vince McMahon was spotted at the annual WWE holiday party despite not having been seen at the company’s headquarters much in recent days.

The report notes that McMahon’s demeanor was seen as “approachable” and “friendly” during the party.

Johnson also notes that unlike in previous years, no WWE talent were in attendance at the party. In the past, 4-6 members of the roster would attend the party to meet and greet the WWE employees.
