“How About A Match Against Kazuchika Okada?” – Adam Copeland

Adam Copeland

Far from retiring, Adam Copeland now has his eyes set on a list of previously thought impossible dream matches.

Up until October 1st, it seemed impossible to many that the man known as Edge could end his career anywhere other than WWE. However, wrestling has a way of surprising even the most seasoned observers.

When Copeland walked to the ring at WrestleDream it opened up an incredible number of interesting new possibilities. The dream matches that had been destined to remain on ‘what might have been’ lists are now very much on the table.

During an interview with Justin Barrasso for Sports Illustrated, the veteran ran down his new wishlist.

“I’ve never wrestled at Wrestle Kingdom,” said Copeland. “I’ve never wrestled at Tokyo Dome. How about a match against Kazuchika Okada? That would be pretty cool. I’m pretty excited by that. How about Jon Moxley? Hell yeah. A singles match in AEW against Bryan Danielson? Miro? Claudio Castagnoli? Kenny Omega? Will Ospreay? Adam Page? Chris Jericho? Malakai Black? FTR in a tag? Teaming with Darby against the Young Bucks? Facing Darby? Facing Sting? A promo battle with Eddie Kingston? The possibilities, they’re keeping me awake at night. These new matchups are all super exciting. It all starts next week against Luchasaurus.”

Elsewhere, Adam Copeland revealed he’s been inundated with positive messages from WWE staff since making the move.

When Did Adam Copeland Last Wrestle?

The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t laced up his boots since facing Sheamus on the August 18th episode of SmackDown in Toronto. The match was the last of his WWE contract and almost the last of his career.

Sheamus also hasn’t wrestled since then due to a serious shoulder injury.
