Jim Cornette Blasts AEW Stars For Lack Of Effort: “How Is It Hard To Figure This Out?”

Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette isn’t afraid to take AEW wrestlers to task for not presenting themselves as stars.

Speaking on a recent edition of The Jim Cornette Experience, the legendary wrestling manager praised John Cena for presenting himself as a star while taking some jabs at certain AEW talent in the process.

“Here comes John Cena. Again, he comes out like a star. Not only are the people reacting, but remember, I have talked about numerous times on all these programs, especially with AEW and the not ready for prime time players over there who have never been on television at all and no one is ready to get it through to them how to do it. They just walk down to the ring like a goddamn guy waiting on a bus, Hangnail Page or Jungleboy just mope on down.

“He’s Making It An Event” – Jim Cornette On John Cena Vs. AEW Talent

Continuing, Jim Cornette continued to praise John Cena’s star power, saying it shouldn’t be hard for other talent to figure out how to present themselves in a better light.

“John Cena comes down like a star, he’s got energy, he’s got emotion, he’s fired up, he’s making it an event. He doesn’t just come out with sweatpants, a hoodie and a moop face. How is it this hard to figure out?”

Not always full of criticism, Jim Cornette was more than complimentary of WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther on another edition of his podcast.
