MJF Recreates Famous “Steiner Math” Promo On AEW Dynamite [Video]

MJF To Defend AEW World Title At All In

MJF showed off his maths skills on AEW Dynamite.

Ahead of challenging for the TNA World Championship at TNA Sacrifice in 2008, Scott Steiner cut one of the most infamous promos in history. The ‘Genetic Freak’ ran down his chances of winning the championship in the Three Way Match with the help of a little mathematics.

By using a series of numbers and calculations that only made sense to himself, Steiner explained that his rivals had a 33 1/3% chance of victory while he ended up with a 141 2/3% chance of emerging with the gold.

Despite the accuracy of Steiner’s maths skills being somewhat open to debate, the surreal promo earned a place in wrestling history.

In fact, the promo is so famous that MJF recreated it on the September 13th episode of Dynamite. To add to the fun, Samoa Joe was also on the receiving end, as he was back in 2008 at the hands of Steiner.

Who Is MJF Wrestling At Grand Slam?

The “MJF Math” promo came before Samoa Joe took on Roderick Strong in the finals of the Grand Slam Eliminator Tournament. When all was said and done in the ring, it was Joe who got his hand raised in victory, booking himself a shot at MJF and the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam on September 20th.

This will mark the first time that Joe has competed for the AEW World Title.

On Dynamite it was also confirmed that Saraya will defend her AEW Women’s Title against Toni Storm, while Jon Moxley defends the International Title against Rey Fenix.

Still utilising the Kangaroo Kick as a signature move, MJF has revealed why he chooses to not execute high-flying manoeuvres.
