Triple H Praises WWE Star For Their Perseverance: “You Just Hope That The Success Comes”

Triple H Praises WWE Star For Their Perseverance:

Triple H has acknowledged that every success story in WWE is the same.

Some Superstars enter the business at a young age and fade away after a promising start, others can be a wrestler in the company for years and never get an opportunity despite fans demanding it. This is especially the case with stars that make the jump to WWE following success in another company, as fans of WCW wrestlers were all too familiar with.

A modern-day example of this is LA Knight, who first impressed fans in NXT in his rivalry with Cameron Grimes over the Million Dollar Championship, which was reintroduced by Ted DiBiase in 2021. With the momentum behind him, Knight came crashing back down to Earth when he was called up to the main roster as Max Dupri, the manager of the Maximum Male Models. Fans of Knight became quickly despondent at what the star from Impact and NXT had become.

Following a regime change and Knight being gifted his old name back, the rise to the main event scene in less than a year was one of the most impressive feats in 2023. Something that Triple H has also recognised.

Speaking with Greg and The Morning Buzz, Triple H described the rocky road of being a WWE Superstar where sometimes things don’t go the way that is expected. The Game then cited Knight as an example of this and credited The Megastar with continually grinding to make it into the main event scene:

“There are points in time in every career when you’re told, ‘You’re great, you’re going to do this, you’re going to do that,’ and that comes along and you get very excited about it, and then there are moments where things don’t happen the way you want them to and people are, ‘Ah, you’re never going to go beyond this, you’re always going to be stuck here.’ There are always going to be positives and negatives.

I would say, if you’re not going to buy into the positives, you can’t buy into the negatives. You just have to do your thing and grind. I don’t care who you are, how long it takes, if you grind…I look at LA Knight right now. He’s been in this business for a long time. I knew him in the very beginning. He was in NXT early in the system.

A lot, he’ll admit this, a lot to his own doing, he caused himself to not be in it, but he kept grinding, kept grinding, kept grinding, and here is sort of running towards the end of his career and all of a sudden, he’s making it and becoming a big deal. Hopefully, he can capitalize on that, and we can, but you never know, and you keep those doors open and you see what’s going to resonate. Nobody has perfect vision around the corner. You just keep grinding and doing what you do and hopefully success comes.”

LA Knight continues to impress those in the wrestling world, including Jim Cornette, who named the WWE star as his wrestler of the year.

Triple H Discusses The Iron Claw

During the same interview, the Chief Content Officer was asked about his thoughts on the upcoming biopic about the Voin Erich family, The Iron Claw. Triple H revealed that the company was approached to collaborate with the upcoming film and that a WWE Hall of Famer is angered over their portrayal.
