Much like the majority of his professional wrestling career, CM Punk continues to divide opinions.
Having now appeared on Raw, SmackDown and NXT and cut multiple promos stating his intentions, some are still not convinced that Punk in WWE is a good thing. Although the former World Champion has been well received by some backstage, the alleged AEW behaviour is still fresh in many minds. On top of backstage reports painting a mixed reception of the return, Superstars have not been entirely positive in interviews, with a former WWE Champion being sceptical of CM Punk being back in the company.
The latest Superstar to be asked about Punk’s return was Braun Strowman. As The Monster Among Men debuted on the main roster in 2015, Punk was already gone from the company at this point.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestle Binge, Strowman stated that he has not formed a full opinion on Punk but will when the two inevitably meet for the first time:
“He’s doing his job. At the end of the day, our job is to put eyes on the product and butts in the seats and well, it looks like he’s doing it. I’ve heard mixed reviews from multiple people on what kind of person he is. I’ll find out when I meet him and he can get in line and get these hands just like anybody else.”
Currently sidelined after undergoing neck surgery, Braun Strowman also gave an update in another interview regarding when he could be back in WWE.

Although Punk’s return has been mixed, no one has been more negative about the shock return than World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who was seen being restrained at Survivor Series when the return took place. While parts of this are leading to a future storyline between the two, there is some genuine animosity from Rollins. Speaking candidly in a recent interview, Seth Rollins detailed his issues with CM Punk.
