Nick Khan Sends Message To WWE Staff Following Mass Layoffs

Nick Khan

Nick Khan sent a message of support to WWE staff after a worrying day for many employees.

Following the completion of the merger between WWE and UFC, many expected the sports entertainment giant to make significant cuts. Unfortunately, this was exactly how it played out.

On September 15th, WWE let more than 100 employees go from a wide range of departments across the company. Following the changes, Nick Khan sent a message to the remaining staff to thank them for their understanding.

You can find the message shared by Sean Ross Sapp on social media below.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding today. All individuals impacted by today’s workforce reductions have now been notified. We thank all of these colleagues for their contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.

So many of us have a lifelong passion for WWE and that is part of what makes working here so special. We will be hosting an All Employee Meeting this Tuesday, September 19 at 11am ET for all Stamford based employees in the lobby of our new headquarters at 707 Washington Blvd.

Arrival instructions will be sent out Monday, as well as a video link for our colleagues not based in Stamford so they can join us virually.

We look forward to being able to all get together in person at our new offices and we look forward to our next chapter together.”

Main Roster Talent Cuts Also Expected

According to a report from Nick Hausman, “major cuts” are expected across the main roster and NXT. However, there’s no word on when these cuts will take place.
