AEW Management Has No Bad Feelings Towards Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle seemingly has his options open following his WWE release.

The Original Bro was the final WWE talent release of last week after the company let over a dozen wrestlers go on September 21 after Matt Riddle had one too many slip-ups with the company, but unlike CM Punk, Dave Meltzer is reporting that one major rival promotion doesn’t harbor any negativity towards Riddle when it comes to being a bad apple. Meltzer sad that many in WWE management have bad feelings about CM Punk, AEW management doesn’t feel the same way about Riddle.

Riddle was let go not long after he made sexual assault allegations towards JFK Airport security out of New York. An investigation was opened up by the Port Authority but nothing was found. Following the incident, Riddle was removed from WWE’s TV programming and live event schedule before being released which was confirmed by Riddle last Friday evening.

At Least One MMA Promotion Is Interested In Matt Riddle

While AEW could certainly be a possibility for Matt Riddle, Dave Meltzer did say that his UFC background could come in handy as his name has garnered interest after his WWE release.

“I do also know that Riddle has got at least one major MMA promotion, if not more, that are interested in bringing him back to MMA. So it’s going to be an interesting one. It’s going to be interesting to see what he does.”
