Tony Schiavone will continue to add to his famed legacy in 2024 as the AEW announcer will be joining his podcast co-host for a prestigious honor.
It was announced Monday that Schiavone will be the recepient of the 2024 Gordon Solie Award on behalf of The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. AdFreeShows.com sent out a press release stating the following:

Today, The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame announced that Tony Schiavone will be receiving the prestigious 2024 Gordon Solie Award. Schiavone joins the namesake of the award, Gordon Solie, AEW’s Jim Ross, and podcaster Conrad Thompson as the fourth recipient of the honor. The Gordon Solie Award is given to individuals who exhibit excellence in the field of wrestling commentary, embodying Solie’s commitment to the craft.

Aside from a cup of coffee with TNA, Schiavone was out of pro wrestling after WCW shuttered its doors back in 2001 and took his announcing skills to college football and minor league baseball down in Georgia.
