According to Al Snow in an interview with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Hogan possessed an unparalleled ability to attract audiences, much like the aforementioned actors. Snow argued that the commitment required from fans to physically attend a movie theatre to see a film featuring a Hollywood star is similar to the dedication required from fans to watch Hogan wrestle live during the 1980s.
Snow emphasised that actors like Schwarzenegger and Cruise are highly regarded because viewers invest not only their time but also their money and effort to watch their performances. In contrast, television actors can be easily accessed by changing channels. Therefore, motivating fans to leave the comfort of their homes, travel to a venue, pay for parking and tickets, and endure the inconveniences of attending a live event is a significant challenge.
For you to see a movie actor do their job, there’s an investment of time, money and effort on your part to go do it. Television actors, do motivate you to watch them but you just turn the channel and you can see them do that. The biggest challenge these days is to motivate you to leave the comfort, safety and security of your home, get in your car, drive or take whatever transportation you take, to get to a building,
