Ric Flair

Ric Flair Breaks Silence Following Surprise AEW Debut

Sting (left), Ric Flair (middle) and Tony Schiavone (right) on AEW Dynamite

Ric Flair has commented for the first time since making his surprise AEW debut on Dynamite last night.

The Nature Boy was revealed to be Tony Khan’s gift to Sting after The Icon announced last week that he will wrestle for the final time at AEW Revolution next year. Flair claimed he will be with Sting in AEW all the way until his retirement in March.

During his appearance last night, Flair drew the ire of TNT Champion Christian Cage who claimed that if there was a God, Ric Flair would have died 20 years ago and that The Nature Boy was “turning into dust.”

The segment ended with a six-man tag team match being set up for AEW Full Gear where Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne will face Sting, Darby Allin, and a partner of their choosing. Thankfully, it does not look like Flair will be taking that spot.

Posting on his X account earlier today, Flair offered his first comments following his AEW debut and indicated that he is here to stay in AEW in order to accompany Sting during the last few months of his legendary career.

Eric Young

Eric Young Reveals His Sole Regret In Requesting WWE Release

Eric Young

Former WWE star Eric Young has revealed he only regrets one part of requesting his WWE release earlier this year.

Young is reported to have requested his release from WWE earlier this year just months after re-signing with the company. It’s said that both the return of Vince McMahon and Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE were the main factors in his decision to leave.

Speaking to Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling in a new interview, Young claimed there was some truth to the reported reason behind his departure and went on to reveal the only thing he regrets about requesting his release from the company.

The only part I regret is not being able to work with some of the people there, not be able to work with Hunter again. There’s bucket list things there that I’m not going to lose sleep over, but it surely would have been cool to check them off the list.”

In the same interview, the now-IMPACT star implied that Vince McMahon was the one mainly responsible for SAnitY’s failed run on the WWE main roster.

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green Reaches Big WWE Title Milestone

Piper Niven (left) and Chelsea Green (right) making their entrance on Raw

Chelsea Green has surpassed a big milestone in her WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship reign!

Yesterday, Green posted a raunchy photo on X to celebrate her 99th day as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions and now her reign has entered the three-digit range as she has now hit 100 days as champion.

Technically, this achievement also applies to her fellow tag team champion Piper Niven. WWE lists both Green and Niven’s reign as lasting for 100 days despite the fact Niven has only held the title for 73 days. This is due to Sonya Deville, Green’s original partner, suffering an injury that forced her to vacate her half of the title which Niven later claimed.

Despite Green’s lengthy reign, she has yet to defend the championship since winning the titles back in July. Neither she and Deville nor she and Niven have put their titles on the line despite competing in multiple tag team matches on Raw over the last few months.

New Japan

New Japan Star Advocates For AEW Match With Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley

A star of New Japan Pro-Wrestling has taken to social media to advocate for a match in AEW against Jon Moxley!

Despite being a NJPW-contracted talent, Rocky Romero has competed several times on AEW programming. Most recently, Romero faced CMLL’s Mistico on the October 18th edition of AEW Rampage in a Two Out Of Three Falls match.

But now Romero has laid down the gauntlet for perhaps his biggest AEW match yet. In a new post to his X account, Romero made it clear that he wants to face former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on either Dynamite or Rampage!

Bray Wyatt-fs8

Rewatch Bray Wyatt and John Cena's First WrestleMania Clash IN FULL!

WWE has uploaded Bray Wyatt Vs. John Cena from WrestleMania XXX in its entirety to its YouTube channel.

Whilst the match is most notable for being Bray Wyatt’s first clean singles loss on the WWE main roster, the bout went on to have a bigger legacy as part of Cena and Wyatt’s WrestleMania rematch six years later. In their Firefly Funhouse match at WrestleMania 36, Wyatt righted the wrong of losing at WrestleMania XXX in a bizarre clash with Cena filled with insider references and an overall trippy presentation.

Vince McMahon

Ex-WWE Star Hints Vince McMahon Caused Failed Main Roster Run

Vince McMahon Once Re-Hired A "WWE Legend" Just Six Hours After They Were Fired

A former WWE star has seemingly indicated that Vince McMahon was ultimately responsible for them not finding success on the main roster.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Eric Young had been re-signed to WWE in late 2022 but had subsequently requested his release from the company due to the return of Vince McMahon and the Endeavor sale.

In an interview with Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, Young stated the reports were “leading definitely towards the truth” and stated he could not work for an unnamed person at the company due to professional, personal, and moral reasons. The person in question was reported to be McMahon.

Later in the same interview, Young discussed SAnitY’s short-lived run on the main roster. He claimed that “the only person that matters” did not understand the concept and as a result, the group failed despite their success in NXT.

“The truth is everyone understood it except for one person and the unfortunate truth is the only person that matters is that one person. So it doesn’t matter your opinion, it doesn’t matter the fans’ opinions, it doesn’t matter.”

Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano Reveals New DIY Entrance Theme Is Coming

DIY making their entrance on WWE NXT

Johnny Gargano has revealed that DIY will have a new entrance theme when he and Tommaso Ciampa compete together for the first time in almost two years next week.

Gargano and Ciampa are set to take on Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium on Raw next Monday in their first match together since NXT 2.0 WarGames 2021. The last time the two competed in a tag team match together, however, was almost four years ago in February 2020.

Speaking during a recent stream on his Twitch channel, Gargano revealed that a big change is coming when DIY reunites on Monday – specifically to their entrance theme.

“Me and Tommaso are very excited about the potential of something new. Like, I think it could be so much more. I’m trying not to spoil too much stuff. You just have to tune in on Monday. As much as I can tell you, you have to tune in on Monday. It’s going to be very cool. I think it’s got a very cool vibe. I think it’s something we both are really pumped about.

So we hope you guys dig it, too. That’s basically what it comes down to. We hope you guys dig it. We dig it. It’s something fresh, something new. And I think it’s going to be hopefully something that catches on. And years from now, you guys will talk about that song.

The former NXT Champion went on to tease that the new song will feature hints of their old entrance theme Chrome Hearts.

AEW Worlds End Pay-Per-View Official For December

Official poster graphic announcing AEW Worlds End

AEW has confirmed that a brand-new pay-per-view event called AEW Worlds End will be taking place this December!

The news was confirmed during last night’s AEW Dynamite though details were scarce. The show will emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York on December 30th 2023 and tickets will be available on November 3rd.

It was first reported earlier this month that AEW planned to add a December pay-per-view to its events calendar. Yesterday, the company filed a trademark for the term “Worlds End” for use in live wrestling performances and wrestling events – hinting that this would be the upcoming pay-per-view’s name.

No matches or segments have been announced for the pay-per-view at the time of writing.

Ric Flair

Backstage News On Original Ric Flair AEW Debut Plans

Ric Flair making his debut in AEW

A new report has provided backstage details on AEW’s original plans for Ric Flair‘s debut a few years ago.

During last night’s AEW Dynamite, Ric Flair made his AEW debut and reunited with former rival Sting. The debut of Flair, who was previously accused of sexual assault stemming from the infamous ‘Plane Ride From Hell’, comes just over two weeks after Tony Khan hit out at Vince McMahon over allegations of sexual misconduct.

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that Flair was originally meant to debut in AEW back in 2021, likely as the manager of Andrade El Idolo, but the resurfacing of his sexual assault allegations through Dark Side Of The Ring caused those plans to be scrapped.

As to why now was chosen as the time to bring The Nature Boy to AEW, Meltzer noted the company is trying to bring in big names to boost ratings in the lead-up to the renewal of the TV rights deal with Warner Brothers Discovery.

“I know that he was gonna go there right when that Dark Side of the Ring thing came out. I don’t know this but I was assuming that he was gonna go as the manager of Andrade. But he and Tony Khan had a verbal deal, and then after Dark Side came out, it was not the right time.

“It’s the (TV) contract year and I think they’re really trying to hotshot as many stars for ratings purposes because of the name value and things like that, but by doing that you’re also ageing the show, and nostalgia when it comes to TV ratings is usually a short drug, not a long-term thing.”

Bryan Danielson

Tony Khan Provides Bryan Danielson Injury Update

Bryan Danielson making his entrance as part of the Blackpool Combat Club

Tony Khan has provided an update on Bryan Danielson following an injury scare at the end of last night’s AEW Dynamite.

In the show’s main event, Bryan Danielson took an Orange Punch from Orange Cassidy immediately followed by a Rainmaker from Kazuchika Okada. After the bout, Danielson was seen clutching his jaw whilst medical officials checked on him as the show went off the air.

Now Tony Khan has provided a positive update on The American Dragon after the injury scare. In a post to his X account, Khan revealed that Danielson was able to walk out of the arena under his own power. No further details were provided on his condition.

Danielson returned from injury less than two months ago. The 42-year-old suffered a broken arm during his match with Okada in the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door this past summer, causing him to be out of action throughout July and August as well as miss AEW All In: London.
