WWE Raw Results – December 4, 2023

This week on WWE Raw featured a Seth Rollins-Jey Uso match for the World Heavyweight Title.

Raw took place at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY with Michael Cole and Wade Barrett on commentary.

Drew McIntyre started with a promo addressing his various issues with the likes of Seth Rollins and Jey Uso. He also took a shot at fans cheering CM Punk after coming back to WWE. Drew said that Sami was the one person that deserved to get screwed by The Bloodline since Sami was part of it. Sami Zayn interrupted so they exchanged words with Zayn saying that after he got screwed by The Bloodline, he kept on fighting and main evented WrestleMania. They already had a match set up, so that was next.

Match #1:Drew McIntyre defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall. Zayn was selling a left leg injury, so Drew did a brutal chop block to the leg. Drew hit a Claymore Kick to win. It was a three-segment match.

There was a lengthy video featuring Jey Uso talking about his World Title match later in the show.

Sami Zayn was backstage getting checked on by a trainer when Drew McIntyre showed up for an attack. Drew yelled at Sami for talking about Drew’s family, Drew said they are nothing alike and Zayn brought this on himself. Drew stomped on Zayn’s left leg, so Zayn screamed in pain while holding the left leg. WWE Officials ran in to break it up and make Drew back away.

Becky Lynch was about to be interviewed backstage, but Nia Jax interrupted. Lynch said that they have never settled this. Jax said when she’s done squashing Shayna, she is ready to fight Becky too.

Match #2: Nia Jax defeated Shayna Baszler by pinfall. Jax won with her Annihilator splash.

After the match, Becky Lynch walked out to confront Jax, but Jax left the ring to avoid a confrontation.

A video package aired about CM Punk’s return to WWE at Survivor Series and the Raw that followed. CM Punk returns to Smackdown this Friday on the Tribute to the Troops show. Cole mentioned Punk is a free agent while wondering what brand Punk will sign with.

Match #3: #DIY – Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa defeated Imperium – Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match. Kaiser got the first fall and Gargano rolled up Vinci to tie it up. The final fall saw #DIY hit their Meet In the Middle double team knee/superkick for the pinfall win 2 falls to 1.

The Judgment Day was shown in their clubhouse with R-Truth hanging around, so they kicked him out. Damian Priest took control while saying that Rhea Ripley & Finn Balor were not there this week.

Match #4: Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeated Natala & Tegan Nox by pinfall. Carter & Chance did a double team move called a Keg Stand with Chance pinning Natalya.

Cody Rhodes did a promo about Shinsuke Nakamura spraying the red mist in his eyes last week. Cody mentioned that when he was a little kid he was terrified of The Great Muta, who used to do that. Cody wanted to fight Nakamura. That led to Nakamura appearing on the video screen saying they both won the Royal Rumble and lost title matches. Nakamura claimed he would finish Cody’s story. Cody said if they are the same then Nakamura needs to prove it.

Match #5: The Creed Brothers defeated The Judgment Day – Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh by pinfall. The Brutus Ball double team move got the win.

The Raw GM Adam Pearce told Seth Rolins that CM Punk will be on Raw next week and Pearce wants to sign Punk to a Raw contract. Rollins laughed it off and claimed CM Punk would show his true colors. Rollins and Jey Uso had a pre-match chat showing confidence about their match.

Match #6: Seth “Freakin” Rollins defeated Jey Uso by pinfall to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. It was a long match with a lot of nearfalls for both guys. Rollins got the win with The Stomp.

After the match, Jey Uso was out on the floor and Drew McIntyre came from out of nowhere to hit Jey with a Claymore Kick on the floor. Rollins went after McIntyre, so Drew suplexed Rollins on the floor. McIntyre suplexed Jey through a table. Drew told Jey: “The truth will set you free.” End show.
