Jon Moxley Elaborates On His Unpredictability In AEW: “You Can’t Tell Me It’s Wrong, It’s Self Expression”

Jon Moxley Elaborates On His Unpredictability In AEW:

Jon Moxley has admitted that at times even he doesn’t know what will happen in his matches.

Moxley is one of the most unpredictable members of the AEW roster and one of the most physical. While the former AEW World Champion has competed in great singles matches against Bryan Danielson and Orange Cassidy during his time with the promotion, many associate Mox with the more hardcore style. When weapons are allowed, Moxley admits that he has the philosophy of doing what feels right in the heat of the moment.

Speaking with Chris Meuller, Moxley commented on how he improvises in matches and does whatever he wants because he feels like doing it:

“As far as like my own s**t, I just do whatever the f**k I feel like in the moment. If I stop what I’m doing and do a f**king spinaroonie in the middle of the match and take a wrench and gouge my f**king head open, its just because I f**king felt like doing it.

“You can’t tell me it was wrong, it’s self expression, it’s just what I f**king felt like doing. It’s what wrestling is to me, so like whatever I’m going to do is whatever I’m going to do in that moment. I don’t know what the f**k it is, it could be anything. You’ve got to tune in to find out I guess.

Jon Moxley Had No Intentions Of Staying With WWE

Moxley left WWE in 2019 after choosing to not renew his contract, citing creative frustrations as the main reason behind the exit. Later that year, Mox would make his shock debut in AEW at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, officially saying goodbye to the PG iteration Dean Ambrose. Despite some fans believing that the former World Champion chose to leave WWE for the rival promotion, Jon Moxley admitted that he planned to leave WWE regardless of if AEW was created.
