Bret Hart Vs Shawn Michaels; Who Was The Better Wrestler?

Former WWE Superstar Al Snow recently weighed in on the age-old debate of who was the better wrestler between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

In an interview with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Snow carefully considered the question before offering his insightful perspective. According to Snow, both Hart and Michaels were equally talented in the ring, but they possessed different wrestling styles.

Snow praised Hart for his no-nonsense approach, emphasising his ability to convincingly portray a determined mindset focused on winning the match. On the other hand, Snow highlighted Michaels’ flair and spectacular moves, noting that he excelled at creating an atmosphere of suspense and danger, making it appear as if he was on the verge of defeat.

When asked to declare a clear winner between the two, Snow diplomatically stated:

Who was the better worker Bret or Shawn? I’d have to say they’re both pretty even in that regard. Just different approaches. Bret was more no-nonsense, just very ‘I’m here to win,’ and Shawn was more flourish and more ‘I’m gonna win, but I’m gonna do it spectacularly.’ Shawn was better at looking like he was in jeopardy of losing. And Bret was better at selling the intent that he was attempting to win.

The rivalry between Hart and Michaels is widely regarded as one of the greatest in WWE history, with their matches often cited as legendary encounters. However, some critics have questioned whether the feud truly lived up to its hype. In an analysis of their matches, it was noted that they only had five televised singles bouts together, and while they were good, they may not have reached the level of greatness that is commonly associated with their names.

What Did Other WWE Superstars Think Of Bret Hart And Shawn Michaels?

Jake The Snake Roberts revealed in an interview that he told Vince McMahon to fire both Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. Roberts said that when he had heard about the conflict between the two Superstars, he advised McMahon to fire them as they were not benefiting the company with their actions.
