Tommaso Ciampa is back on Monday Night Raw much to the annoyance of The Miz.
The June 19th episode of Raw opened with Seth Rollins coming to the ring for his World Heavyweight Championship open challenge. However, things quickly went off the rails.
Finn Balor jumped Rollins and absolutely demolished the champion, beating him all over ringside. Even when Rollins got backstage, Balor attacked again, making sure The Visionary wouldn’t be competing anywhere.
Back in the ring, The Miz arrived and said that he was the man who was going to answer Rollins’ open challenge. But seeing as that was now off the table, he laid down a challenge of his own to anyone in the back. This brought out Tommaso Ciampa to strong ovation, but Miz was left disappointed when his former partner punched him in the face.
In the match that followed Miz came up short yet again, Ciampa picking up the win following a high knee and the Fairytale Ending.
Commentary put over that Ciampa was now targeting Miz after he failed to contact him while he was out injured.

When Did Tommaso Ciampa Last Wrestle?
Tommaso Ciampa has been out of action since the September 17th episode of Raw when he was defeated by Bobby Lashley. Shortly after the match, it was revealed that the former NXT Champion had undergone surgery.
It is widely believed that Ciampa is set to reunite with Johnny Gargano who is back on-screen with Candice LeRae, Dexter Lumis, and Indi Hartwell.
