The Fiend vs. Randy Orton Confirmed For WrestleMania 37

Randy Orton vs The Fiend

‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt will take on Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 on night two of the Show of Shows.

Following his terrifying return at Fastlane after being set on fire at TLC, The Fiend signalled his intention for a clash with Randy Orton after hitting The Viper with an RKO on this week’s RAW, with Alexa Bliss pointing at the WrestleMania sign to close out the show.

In a preview posted on WWE.com, the match was confirmed.

“He has returned, and that’s not good news for Randy Orton. After The Viper sadistically set The Fiend on fire back at WWE TLC, there was no telling if The Fiend would ever be seen again. As Alexa Bliss slowly started to warn Orton of his inevitable return, it was only a matter of time before her premonitions would come to fruition.”

The article continues, detailing the return of The Fiend.

At WWE Fastlane, The Fiend emerged from the wreckage of being burned, and after being summoned by Orton the following night on Raw, made his cruel intentions clear to finally settle this brutal score with The Legend Killer once and for all at WrestleMania. Will Orton overcome The Fiend, who is seemingly more unstoppable than ever, or will The Fiend complete his comeback from the ashes and rid himself of The Viper for good?

WrestleMania will seemingly see the culmination of a storyline that has thus far seen Randy Orton set fire to The Fiend in a Firefly Inferno Match, Alexa Bliss shoot The Viper with a fireball causing him to cover his face with a mask the following week, and the 14-time WWE Champion vomit black blood on several occasions.

The Fiend’s return at Fastlane would see Alexa Bliss pin Randy Orton, after pelting fireballs at The Viper, and almost crushing him below a section of the ThunderDome. Orton wouldn’t get to repeat history by hitting Bliss with an RKO, as The Fiend returned – showing off the scars of the attack he previously suffered from Randy Orton.
