Stephanie McMahon Says Plans Are To Have Fans At WrestleMania 37

Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie McMahon has revealed that WWE is planning to have fans in attendance at Wrestlemania 37. This confirmation comes after WWE made the unprecedented announcement of the sites and dates for the next 3 Wrestlemania events.

Wrestlemania 37 will take place over 2 nights once again on the 10th and 11th of April. Originally planned to take place at the SoFi Stadium in California. The event will now emanate from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. In an interview with TMZ, McMahon said the following:

“I’m thrilled and excited because, hopefully, this will be the first opportunity for us to have our fans back in attendance…That’s the current plan. Of course, ticket information is not available yet because we’re still trying to figure out all the machinations.”

Wrestlemania 36 was a casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. WWE was forced to abandon plans to hold the event at Raymond James Stadium that year. Instead, they taped the event in front of no fans at the Performance Center. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who won the title at Wrestlemania 36, has been the latest star of the wrestling world to have contracted the COVID-19 virus. With this in mind, Stephanie McMahon was offered assurances that safety was at the forefront of WWE’s plans.

McMahon explained:

“Working with the local organizing committee, all of the health officials, health and safety is first and foremost, of course. For our fans, for our performers, for the employees, for the staff working the building, there’s a lot of different logistics that need to determined, but hopefully, it’ll all work out, and this will be the first WWE event where we actually bring the WWE Universe back together in person, and I cannot wait.”

This latest information follows up an earlier report that gave indications on how many fans WWE may be able to accommodate.
