Charlotte Flair Lands Major Acting Role

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is set to follow in the footsteps of WWE legend The Rock after landing a huge acting role.

Per Deadline, Flair will star in a remake of Walking Tall, which was originally released in 1973 before a 2004 version starred Dwayne Johnson.

The Queen has recently added to her credentials with a role in Punky Brewster, as well as Psych: The Movie in 2017, and will add the two-hour TV movie to her resume, which is reportedly being viewed as a pilot with the hope of future instalments or as an ongoing series.

In the remake, Flair plays a Tucson cop who turns vigilante to protect her hometown after finding herself caught in a web of fraud, exploitation and murder – a similar role to The Rock Johnson taking on a similar role in the 2004 film that also starred Johnny Knoxville.

Writer David Eick, one of the executive producers of the 2003 version of Battlestar Galactica, is developing the series which will be produced by Village Roadshow in association with Three Rivers, WWE Studios and Mosaic.

The latest instalment of Walking Tall, featuring Flair, will air via USA Network. Charlotte Flair, of course, is no stranger to USA Network, starring on WWE RAW on Monday nights.
